Who we are
Performance Equity Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 41-4078010) that operates performanceequityfoundation.org. Performance Equity Inc. is a separate company with its own website and its own policy. Information you give the Foundation stays with the Foundation.

What we collect
When you send a message. The contact form collects your first name, your email, the topic you choose, and your message. We use it to answer you. Please keep medical, financial, and other sensitive details out of your message. If you email us directly, your message is handled in the Foundation’s Google Workspace mailbox.
When you donate. Donations are processed by Donorbox, with payments handled by Stripe. These services collect what a donation requires: your name, email, billing details, gift amount, and payment information. Card numbers go to the payment processor. The Foundation never receives or stores your full card number. To help stop fraud, Stripe may also collect details about the device you use to give, such as your browser type. We receive a record of your gift so we can thank you, keep accurate books, and meet charity and tax reporting rules.
When you visit. Like any website, our host processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and keeps short-lived request logs. To limit abuse, the contact form counts messages using a coded version of your IP address held briefly in the server’s memory. It is never stored. If site analytics are on (see Analytics below), we also learn which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, their general location (city level, from Google’s analysis of the IP address, which Google Analytics does not store), the type of device and browser, and whether a message was sent or the Donate button was clicked.
Why we use it
To answer your questions, process and acknowledge gifts, keep donation records, understand which pages help people find the Foundation, and improve the site. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, including our donor list, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing or advertising.
Service providers
- Vercel hosts the website and runs the contact form service. Your message passes through it on its way to us and is not kept there.
- Google Workspace is the Foundation’s email. Contact-form messages go straight into the Foundation’s own mailbox and are stored there. The website keeps no copy.
- Donorbox and Stripe process donations under their own privacy policies.
- Google Analytics measures site visits, when it is on. Google reCAPTCHA and Google Pay run inside the Donorbox donation form.
Each provider handles information to deliver its service to the Foundation. Donorbox, Stripe, and Google also follow their own privacy policies.
Analytics and cookies
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and to learn whether visitors send a message or click Donate. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell visits apart. We keep Google’s advertising features off: no ad personalization, no remarketing, and no Google Signals. Google Analytics deletes visit-level details after 14 months; totals, such as how many people read a page, are kept longer. To learn how Google uses this information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Your choice is respected automatically. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, Google Analytics does not load and sets no cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The donation form is provided by Donorbox and may set its own cookies to complete a gift securely. Inside the donation form, Google reCAPTCHA helps stop spam and fraud, and Google Pay may be offered as a way to give. Google’s privacy policy applies to those features.
Other companies may learn about your visit here, and about your activity on other websites, only through the services named on this page: Google (through analytics when it is on, and through reCAPTCHA and Google Pay inside the donation form) and the donation services from Donorbox and Stripe. We do not place advertising networks or social media trackers on this site.
Retention
- Messages sent through the contact form: kept for up to 12 months, then deleted in a monthly review. Emails you send us directly are kept as long as needed to handle your request.
- Donation records: kept for as long as charity and tax reporting rules require.
- Analytics visit-level details: 14 months.
- A requested deletion is completed within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email mission@performanceequityfoundation.org with the subject “Privacy request.” If we send you a newsletter or update by email, it includes a link to unsubscribe. We may ask you to confirm your email address before we act on a request.
Keeping it safe
We protect the information we hold with reasonable safeguards and limit access to the people who need it to do the Foundation’s work. If a security problem ever affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Young people
This website is written for adults, including parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child under 13 sent us information, write to mission@performanceequityfoundation.org and we will delete it.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
